Senior Financial Analyst
About the role
• Manage controllership processes, ensuring the quality, integrity, and reliability of financial information.
• Lead and monitor the monthly closing process, ensuring deadlines are met and information is accurate and complete.
• Coordinate monthly and annual closings with internal teams and Accounting.
• Prepare, review, and organize documents and information requested by external auditors, ensuring data traceability and consistency.
• Support analyses of results, budgets, forecasts, and other Controllership-related requests.
• Develop and enhance controls, spreadsheets, and processes that improve the efficiency and reliability of information.
• Analyze variances in balance sheet and income statement accounts, identifying inconsistencies, deviations, and opportunities for adjustment.
• Respond to external audit requests.
• Serve as the primary Controllership point of contact during the monthly and annual closing processes and external audits.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of closing processes, internal controls, and the quality of management information.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Solid experience in Controllership, Accounting, or auditing.
• Hands-on experience with monthly and annual accounting close processes.
• Knowledge of account reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Ability to interpret financial statements and identify inconsistencies.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage deadlines.
• Experience in technology or SaaS companies, or companies with recurring-revenue models, is a plus.
• External audit experience is a plus.
• Experience automating processes and improving controls is a plus.
• Knowledge of Revenue Recognition processes in SaaS companies is a plus.
