Senior Motion Designer

• Design and produce motion for product explainers, website animations, paid social video snippets, keynote and event motion, and campaign assets
• Draft simple storyboards for straightforward projects
• Build polished product demo animations and feature explainers from product UI frames
• Define Zapier's motion design language and branded motion patterns across surfaces
• Create motion guidelines, component libraries, and MOGRT files for independent partner and social-team use
• Explore Jitter and Figma Motion to enable on-brand animated asset creation
• Produce short video snippets for paid social testing across angles and formats
• Support the recurring product video format and develop scalable templates for future launches
• Collaborate with brand designers, design operations, PMM, Product Design, Web, Social, and external agencies

• Ability to turn UI frames or brand briefs into compelling animated stories
• Product understanding sufficient to determine animation communication needs
• Experience building MOGRT files, component libraries, and motion guidelines
• Strong understanding of brand motion, timing, easing, and emotional register
• Strong sense of sound and rhythm and understanding of motion/sound integration
• Understanding of narrative structure in motion: setup, tension, and resolution
• Proactive use of creative expertise with stakeholders
• Use of AI tools, including video tools, as part of creative practice
• Ability to work effectively amid ambiguity and move quickly
• Work authorization in the country of residence without company visa sponsorship
