Backend Engineer, Pay & Card

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services supporting Binance Pay and Card products
• Build scalable APIs and microservices for payment processing, transaction management, merchant services, and related financial workflows
• Participate in developing distributed systems handling high-volume and latency-sensitive transactions
• Work with databases, caching systems, message queues, and infrastructure components to improve performance and reliability
• Implement transaction workflows with retries, idempotency, concurrency, and failure handling
• Assist with troubleshooting production issues using logs, metrics, tracing, and root-cause analysis
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Contribute to system reliability, observability, security, and engineering practices
• Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams to build reliable, secure, scalable payment services
• Work on backend systems powering crypto and fiat payment experiences for users and merchants globally

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and computer science fundamentals
• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Java, Go, C++, Python, or a similar language
• Understanding of relational databases and SQL, including indexes, transactions, and database design fundamentals
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, HTTP, networking, and client-server architecture
• Understanding of operating systems, concurrency, and common backend engineering concepts
• Ability to write clear, maintainable code and reason systematically about technical problems
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn in a fast-moving engineering environment
