Automation Engineer

• Work with stakeholders to understand current workflows and automation needs
• Identify and prioritize high-value automation opportunities
• Own long-term automation initiatives from discovery through production
• Establish approved access to unfamiliar platforms and systems
• Design, build, and deploy production automations using n8n and custom code
• Build AI-powered automations using models and platforms from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and other providers
• Build and test PostgreSQL data pipelines that process production events
• Validate data integrity across connected systems and platforms
• Maintain automation architecture across development, staging, and production environments
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Monitor workflow performance, reliability, throughput, cost, and business outcomes
• Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to production incidents
• Identify root causes of recurring failures and implement lasting fixes
• Research new automation platforms, AI capabilities, integration patterns, and tools
• Partner with internal audit teams to assess automated processes for security, data, quality, and compliance

• Candidates must be based in India
• 3+ years of professional experience with Python
• 3 to 5 years of experience in process automation or with RPA platforms
• Hands-on experience with low-code or no-code platforms such as n8n or Zapier
• Experience building and testing REST APIs and backend services
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining browser automation and web scraping scripts
• Experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases
• Experience building production-grade AI agents across multiple frameworks and model providers
• Hands-on experience building MCP servers and tool integrations
• Professional experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or similar cloud platforms
• Experience using Datadog for logging, analytics, and observability
• Experience using PagerDuty for alerting and incident response
• Experience managing multi-step projects with changing priorities
• Strong organizational and process management skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to sit for long periods of time
• Comfortable working 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM IST
• Experience building integrations with Salesforce or other CRM platforms (nice to have)
• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools (nice to have)
• Familiarity with identity and access management practices (nice to have)
• Hands-on experience supporting GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA, or similar compliance requirements (nice to have)
