Senior Software Engineer, Analytics Infrastructure

• Build data tools and analytics products that enable data practitioners to explore and analyze data
• Shape the future of AI-powered data analytics by improving Airbnb’s AI agent for Data and researching AI advancements
• Build integrations between data products and Airbnb’s data platform ecosystem
• Develop new features supporting workflows in Superset, the AI agent for Data, and Notebooks
• Collaborate with data platform teams on infrastructure integrations
• Engage with users, gather feedback, collaborate with product managers, and drive projects end to end
• Create and manage feature rollout plans and migrations
• Identify quality and architecture improvements
• Improve testability, observability, and reliability
• Review code and technical designs
• Provide lightweight on-call support for users and team operations

• 8+ years of full-time, relevant industry experience building backend or fullstack applications
• Hands-on experience with data, including SQL, Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or internal data applications development
• Ability to drive cross-functional projects, including alignment, collaboration, and rollout with partner teams and users
• Appetite for high-quality code and robust systems, including observability and reliability
• Passion for building interactive user experiences and engaging with users
• Experience with building AI agents, context engineering, and AI harness is a plus
• Frontend development expertise with HTML, CSS, TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks such as React is a plus
• Experience with big data technologies such as Airflow, Spark, and Trino is a plus
