Chief Data Officer

• Lead the entire Data & AI function and work closely with the CTO
• Structure the Data department and define organizational building blocks and leadership for each pillar
• Define and execute the AI roadmap, including LLMs, Agentic AI, yield optimization, internal data agents, and conversational analytics
• Establish one shared set of KPI definitions, formulas, and naming across the group
• Own data governance, GDPR compliance with the DPO, data retention, and data minimization
• Move team knowledge from oral practices to documented, durable processes
• Own and manage the annual Data & AI budget, deciding where to automate and where to hire
• Represent Data and AI to the board, investors, and external partners
• Lead Heads and Leads across Data Engineering, Data Science, and Data Analytics/BI
• Validate high-performance infrastructure for massive ad-request volumes and low-latency real-time inference
• Ensure critical bidding, monetization, and AI inference data pipelines are available
• Own the data stack, including ClickHouse, SQLMesh, Lightdash, Kubernetes on bare-metal infrastructure, and CI/CD
• Evolve the data warehouse, expose internal data APIs with access controls, and ensure the internal data agent queries the warehouse
• Co-lead weekly infrastructure, pipeline, AI, and resource-consumption reviews with the CTO
• Drive innovation in yield management, floor pricing, throttling, bidding optimization, audience scoring, predictive models, and reinforcement learning
• Guide and audit mathematical models and maintain scientific standards
• Validate MLOps strategies for auto-tuning, versioning, A/B testing, and advanced experimentation designs
• Structure the Data Science roadmap, objectives, and follow-up
• Transform data and AI-generated insights into growth and revenue strategies for Sales and CSM teams
• Own data contracts, versioning, internal APIs, KPI access-rights policies, and dashboard accuracy
• Scale analytics through automation and act as a point of contact for executive management and investors
• Report directly to the CEO and influence global strategy and investment decisions

• Experience in very high-volume environments such as High-Frequency Trading or Adtech
• Personally scaled and optimized data and ML infrastructure under tight cost discipline, ideally on bare metal and Kubernetes
• Ability to own data architecture decisions end to end
• Strong Machine Learning expertise from model design through real-time inference
• Hands-on experience building continuous learning pipelines that keep models accurate and reliable at scale
• Advanced AI tooling is mandatory: ability to build skills, plugins, and artifacts with LLM assistants; Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini equivalents accepted
• Proven ability to audit code, validate data architectures on self-operated infrastructure, and master columnar databases and big data pipelines
• Master's or Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science
• Engineering, AI, and mathematics expertise much higher than the average manager in the sector
• Confirmed experience as a CDO or VP Data managing multidisciplinary Engineering, Science, and Analytics teams
• Ability to write POCs, pair-program, and work directly on technical problems
