HMI Schematics Designer

• Review and manage HMI schematics creation tickets submitted to the USIB Jira board by Technical Managers and Project Managers
• Verify tickets include project type, provisioning portal, client, applicable template, and specific requirements
• Track tickets through USIB Jira board stages
• Gather inputs needed to build schematic screens, including SLDs and client-specific requests
• Work with Technical Managers, Project Managers, and clients to resolve missing or unclear inputs
• Create Unity SCADA HMI schematics from provided inputs, client templates, and project requirements
• Review completed schematics internally and make needed fixes
• Send schematics to clients for review and address comments until final approval
• Upload approved schematics to required cloud and local client portals
• Review and implement change requests from Technical Managers and Project Managers
• Review Unity Portal updates and confirm schematic screens continue to operate correctly
• Use AI tools to accelerate schematics design and review
• Validate AI outputs for accuracy, completeness, compliance, and adherence to client templates and standards

• Experience (or strong interest) in HMI/SCADA schematics design [add years of experience for the level you’re hiring]
• Familiarity with PV, BESS, and/or Hybrid project types [adjust by level]
• Ability to read and work from single-line diagrams (SLDs) and client templates
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and template consistency
• Clear written and verbal communication, including writing client-facing comments and change notes
• Comfort working in Jira-based ticket workflows
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders (TMs, PMs, clients) and chase down missing information
• Willingness to use AI tools in daily engineering work and check their output carefully
• Experience with Unity SCADA is nice to have
