Firelight

Firelight is a foundation that partners with community-based organizations in eastern and southern Africa to strengthen their capacity and drive community-driven systems change for children and youth. They fund, cluster, and enhance catalytic CBOs, support communities to identify root causes and solutions for early childhood development, ending child marriage, and youth resiliency, and help scale community-led practices and influence policy so systems and norms become more child-centered and sustainable. Firelight emphasizes flexible, long-term investment, evidence, learning, and leaving communities stronger and less dependent on external funding.
