Systems Engineer, Linux, Windows

• Act as the first point of contact for customer requests and monitoring notifications within the 1st level support and operations team (SOC/NOC)
• Analyze and resolve issues quickly and reliably
• Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows systems
• Perform kernel tuning, filesystem work, and Active Directory administration
• Operate and maintain web servers and load balancers
• Handle TLS certificate termination
• Support database-related topics in MariaDB, MS SQL, or PostgreSQL environments
• Suggest improvements to configurations and technical setups
• Help develop operations processes further
• Train and onboard new colleagues
• Share knowledge within the team
• Document work carefully and book working time daily
• Work shifts including nights, weekends, and public holidays
• Take on tasks beyond the core role to expand know-how or support colleagues

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in IT operations, excluding education and internships
• In-depth, hands-on Linux expertise, especially kernel tuning, filesystems, and system configuration
• Solid Windows knowledge, particularly Active Directory and system configuration
• Hands-on experience with web servers such as traefik, nginx, envoy, and Apache
• Hands-on experience with load balancers such as traefik, nginx, and envoy
• Good working knowledge of at least one of MariaDB, MS SQL, or PostgreSQL
• Basic understanding of TLS certificate termination
• Independent and structured way of working
• Enjoyment in sharing knowledge
• Fluent English and Spanish
• German is a plus
