Senior Node.js Engineer

• Develop and maintain scalable Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) APIs and event-driven backend services
• Contribute to architecture, technical design, and secure, reliable solutions
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, testing, and deployment processes
• Ensure production reliability through on-call support, incident investigation, and issue resolution
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on system integrations
• Drive technical improvements and share engineering best practices
• Work on a long-term project in the banking domain

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, including at least 2 years with Node.js and TypeScript
• Solid experience with AWS serverless services (Lambda, SQS, API Gateway, EventBridge, DynamoDB, S3)
• Strong understanding of design patterns and software architecture
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform and CDK
• Experience with TypeScript testing (unit, integration, system)
• Experience with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and OpenAPI specifications
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• English — Upper-Intermediate or higher
• Experience with monorepo setups (pnpm workspaces or similar) is nice-to-have
• Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL) and ORMs (Prisma) is nice-to-have
• Experience with NoSQL databases is nice-to-have
• German language skills are nice-to-have
