Data Engineering Consultant – Databricks

• Support client engagements as a contributing project team member
• Gather and understand business and technical requirements
• Translate requirements into technical tasks under senior team guidance
• Prepare presentations, documentation, and deliverables
• Develop and support data solutions using Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and DataVault Data Automation
• Build and maintain primarily batch data pipelines, with exposure to near real-time processing
• Develop ETL/ELT and data integration processes
• Contribute to data lakes and data warehouses
• Follow coding, testing, and performance optimization best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues with senior team members
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance
• Manage assigned tasks and deliver within project timelines with minimal oversight
• Prepare curated datasets for analytics and reporting
• Support machine learning data preparation
• Maintain knowledge of tools, technologies, and best practices
• Support data governance, data quality, security, compliance, metadata, lineage, and technical documentation
• Build client relationships and assist leadership with business growth
• Identify new ways to contribute and support collaborative delivery

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or related technical roles
• Foundational experience with SQL and basic data modeling concepts
• Foundational experience with ETL/ELT processes and data integration
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Basic understanding of modern data architecture concepts, including data lakes and warehouses
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proactive, customer-oriented, and quality-driven approach
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage time effectively
• Flexibility in an ever-changing environment
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, or similar platforms is a plus
• Exposure to Python or Scala is preferred
• Exposure to Power BI or Tableau is a plus
• Datavault experience with VaultSpeed, DataVault Builder, or Wherescape is a bonus
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a consulting-driven, fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated curiosity and interest in data engineering, analytics, and emerging technologies
