Substation Automation Systems Engineer – all genders

• Handle tenders from transmission system operators in the field of secondary systems for extra-high-voltage substations
• Plan and integrate modern control systems into complex substation environments
• Develop SAS architectures based on IEC 61850, including GOOSE and MMS communication
• Configure HMI interfaces as well as fiber-optic and Ethernet communication networks
• Manage interfaces with protection systems, transmission system operator control centers, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Develop communication matrices, system descriptions, and technical specifications
• Prepare test protocols and plan and conduct FAT/SAT
• Analyze technical requirements from transmission system operators and translate them into robust system solutions

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Experience in control systems, Substation Automation Systems (SAS), or secondary systems
• Proficiency in Siemens SICAM PAS/PQS, Spectrum Power, ABB MicroSCADA, or GE Grid Solutions
• Solid knowledge of IEC 61850 (GOOSE, MMS, SV), Modbus, DNP3, or PROFINET
• Knowledge of HMI/SCADA systems such as WinCC, zenon, or Ignition
• Knowledge of Wireshark or Cisco Packet Tracer, as well as fiber-optic and Ethernet networks
• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity in accordance with IEC 62351 and ISO 27001
• Experience configuring firewalls, e.g., Cisco or Fortinet
• Fluent German and English
