Senior Financial Accountant

• Independently manage day-to-day operations across the full accounting function, including purchasing-side accounting/accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB)
• Support consolidation activities and reporting to management
• Prepare for and support the annual financial statement audit, serving as the primary contact for the external auditors
• Coordinate tax-related matters with the tax advisors
• Manage VAT matters, including VAT advance returns as well as EC Sales List (ZM), Z4, and One-Stop Shop (OSS) filings for international transactions
• Manage transfer pricing within the corporate group
• Continuously improve and automate accounting processes and interfaces with purchasing, sales, and controlling
• Make targeted use of AI tools and digital workflows

• Completed commercial or tax-related vocational training, ideally with further qualification as a certified accountant (m/f/d), or a completed degree specializing in accounting, finance, or taxation
• Several years of professional experience in accounting, including preparation of financial statements
• Experience in an internationally oriented company or an auditing or tax advisory firm is desirable
• In-depth knowledge of accounting in accordance with German GAAP (HGB)
• Good knowledge of IFRS
• Experience with consolidation is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of VAT law, particularly in cross-border contexts, including EC Sales List (ZM) and OSS filings
• Understanding of transfer pricing
• Confident user of common accounting systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Knowledge of Odoo is an advantage
• Excellent written and spoken German
• Good written and spoken English
