Senior Data Engineer

• Create and maintain scalable, reusable data platform modules for processing and storing data
• Design and manage repositories, ensuring efficient and secure storage
• Transform raw data into usable formats using Databricks and other ETL solutions
• Implement processes to monitor data accuracy, consistency, and integrity
• Protect data from unauthorized access through encryption and access controls
• Collaborate with data professionals and business teams to understand their needs
• Monitor data platform performance and implement efficiency and scalability improvements
• Document data engineering processes and procedures to ensure practices are replicable and easy to understand

• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, and SQL
• Knowledge of relational databases, such as MySQL and Oracle, and non-relational databases, such as MongoDB
• Knowledge of cloud storage tools, such as Amazon S3 and other cloud solutions
• Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) for data extraction, transformation, and loading
• Knowledge of distributed storage and processing using Big Data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka
• Knowledge of data architectures, with the ability to design and implement scalable, robust solutions
• Clear and effective communication with different data professionals and business teams
• Knowledge of or experience with Databricks
• Experience working in Data Platform and Analytics environments
• Interest in continuous learning, knowledge sharing, specialization, and certifications
