Lead Full-Stack Ruby Engineer

• Build and maintain software products for a next-generation clinical-trial data management and quality platform
• Develop and maintain microservice-based systems using Ruby on Rails and React
• Trace data flows across services, message queues, event streams, third-party integrations, and data warehouses
• Contribute directly to architectural, engineering, and product decisions
• Work closely with embedded, forward-deployed client teams
• Switch between multiple tickets and keep progress moving when blocked
• Identify risks and gaps proactively

• Lead seniority with 8+ years of relevant experience
• Strong commercial experience with Ruby (Rails) and React
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining microservice-based systems
• Ability to trace data flows between services, including message queues, event streams, third-party integrations, and data warehouses
• Proactive ownership and understanding of the project as a system
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and switch between several tickets
• Ability to ask the right questions and raise risks or gaps early
• Upper-intermediate or higher level of English
• Direct experience with Kafka or another event-streaming platform is nice to have
• Experience with Snowflake or a comparable analytical data warehouse is nice to have
• Experience integrating and debugging external or third-party APIs at scale is nice to have
• Experience with observability tooling, distributed tracing, and centralized logging is nice to have
• Exposure to service decomposition or migrating a monolith to microservices is nice to have
• Ability to work Brazil hours, 9 AM–5 PM BRT
