Back-end Engineer, Integration, AI – PHP/Python

• Develop new features and improvements for the Nextcloud server back-end
• Implement new authentication or storage mechanisms
• Work on audio/video chat and related server features
• Integrate AI services and models, including LLMs, speech-to-text, and image processing services
• Design and develop Python-based AI integrations, APIs, and microservices
• Perform database design and systems design
• Conduct quality assurance
• Work on projects for defined timeframes

• Technical experience with PHP and a bit of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with Python for AI/ML integrations
• Experience with one or more frontend frameworks like VueJS, React, Angular, or Svelte
• Familiarity with AI/LLM frameworks such as Hugging Face and LangChain
• Familiarity with REST APIs and REST-based AI services
• Understanding of containerization with Docker and model deployment workflows
• Experience with speech, vision, or NLP integrations such as Whisper, OCR, or embeddings
• Knowledge of open source technology
• Ideally, experience with Nextcloud AI features or similar platforms
• Reliability and an independent, self-reliant working style
