Senior AI Software Engineer

• Design and build high-scale, cloud-native systems processing millions of vehicle history and transaction requests daily
• Own the design and delivery of high-performance, low-latency APIs and microservices for vehicle history, VIN intelligence, and transaction systems
• Build and scale Java/Spring Boot services in AWS for high-throughput, real-time workloads
• Architect and implement event-driven systems using Kafka/SQS for asynchronous processing and data pipelines
• Lead complex features, platform enhancements, and proof-of-concepts
• Influence system architecture, scalability, and reliability decisions
• Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, logging, tracing, and performance tuning
• Collaborate with product, data, and partner teams on mission-critical integrations and APIs
• Own the full software development lifecycle from design through operation
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and technical leadership
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools and integrate agent-driven capabilities into engineering processes or production systems
• Build intelligent features using AI models and APIs
• Evaluate and productionize AI-generated outputs
• Optimize AI-powered solutions for latency, cost, reliability, and observability

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years (or equivalent experience) building large-scale, distributed, high-volume transactional systems
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and REST API design
• Hands-on experience with AWS (compute, storage, containers, networking, security, monitoring)
• Experience building event-driven architectures (Kafka, SQS, ActiveMQ, or similar)
• Strong experience with observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog) for debugging and performance optimization
• Front-end experience with React, JavaScript, HTML/CSS (full-stack capability preferred)
• Experience with PostgreSQL/DB2 and database performance tuning
• Solid understanding of Agile, SDLC, and modern engineering best practices
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
• Experience working with automotive data, VIN decoding, or vehicle lifecycle systems (desired or nice to have)
• Familiarity with high-availability systems (99.9%+ uptime) and strict latency SLAs (desired or nice to have)
• Experience integrating with enterprise partners or external APIs at scale (desired or nice to have)
• Exposure to AI/ML platforms or deploying AI-powered features in production (desired or nice to have)
• Required use of GitHub Copilot, Codex, Cursor, and Claude Code
• Knowledge of embeddings, fine-tuning, and dataset preparation
• Experience with prompt design, multi-step orchestration, API-based task execution, and MCP or similar patterns
• Ability to ensure AI-generated outputs meet enterprise quality, security, and compliance standards
