Mid-Senior QA Automation Engineer, Medical Field

• Design, implement, execute, and maintain automated test cases for APIs, backend services, and frontend workflows
• Analyze requirements and acceptance criteria
• Identify additional test scenarios
• Collaborate with developers to improve testability
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Python, Playwright, and a Behave-based BDD framework
• Maintain and improve test frameworks, test clients, mocks, test data, and test environments
• Investigate failing tests and identify defects
• Maintain regression and smoke test suites
• Execute tests locally and through CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with QA Automation Engineers, developers, and software requirements leads
• Contribute to the quality of a complex software system for a medical technology project

• 4+ years of experience in software test automation
• Experience in API testing; REST experience is sufficient
• Experience designing and maintaining automated test cases and regression suites
• Experience with Python, ideally at an advanced level, or a solid automation background and willingness to develop Python skills
• Experience with BDD and TDD; knowledge of Behave is preferred
• Experience with Playwright
• Experience with Docker, ideally Docker Compose
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
• Nice to have: Experience with GitLab, VS Code in WSL2, DevContainers, hardware mocking, gRPC and Protocol Buffers, OPC UA, shell scripting, or pipeline scripting
• Role is remote in Romania
