Senior Tax Analyst

• Monitor and interpret federal, state, and municipal tax legislation, applying it to the company’s operations
• Perform bookkeeping, review, and calculation of ICMS, IPI, PIS, and COFINS
• Analyze tax operations, CFOP, CST, tax rates, tax substitution, imports, exports, and other tax-related transactions
• Prepare, validate, and file ancillary tax obligations, such as EFD ICMS/IPI, EFD-Contribuições, GIA, GIA-ST, DAPI, and DIME
• Analyze IPI refund processes and the offsetting of federal tax liabilities through PER/DCOMP
• Validate tax configurations in the Sankhya ERP; participate in system implementations, testing, and process acceptance activities
• Develop controls, spreadsheets, and checklists to reduce errors and improve tax processes
• Provide support during tax audits and work collaboratively with the IT, accounting, and other teams
• Serve companies across different industries and handle the tax particularities of the states of Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Santa Catarina, and Ceará

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• Strong experience with tax routines and tax legislation
• Knowledge of ICMS, IPI, PIS/COFINS, ISSQN, and tax withholdings
• Experience with tax calculations and ancillary tax obligations
• Knowledge of EFD ICMS/IPI, EFD-Contribuições, and other applicable tax filings
• Analytical skills, organization, and attention to detail
• Previous experience in an accounting firm is preferred
• Knowledge of the Sankhya system is desirable
• Experience with Sankhya ERP
• Experience with tax system configuration, implementation, and improvement
• Knowledge of Tax Reform, including IBS and CBS
• Experience analyzing XML files and tax documents
• Knowledge of EFD-Reinf
• Experience providing customer service and support during tax audits
• Ability to interpret tax legislation and translate it into procedures and system configurations
