Freelance Junior Exterior Designer

• Independently develop and refine exterior design concepts based on design briefs, sketches, 2D drawings, and styling guidelines
• Translate design ideas and styling intentions into high-quality, compelling exterior design solutions
• Develop and elaborate exterior forms, body surfaces, and add-on parts
• Refine proportions, surfaces, form transitions, and character lines with a strong focus on design quality and precision
• Develop and elaborate design variants according to project requirements
• Further develop and refine design concepts to a high level of creative maturity
• Prepare and format design iterations for design reviews, presentations, visualizations, and other digital applications
• Work closely with designers, CAS modelers, engineers, and other project stakeholders
• Independently handle complex design tasks while reliably delivering project objectives and quality standards

• At least 3 years of professional experience as an Exterior Designer, ideally in automotive or high-end product design
• Solid experience developing exterior design concepts and styling solutions
• Excellent knowledge of relevant 2D and 3D design software
• Confident use of digital design and visualization tools
• Proven ability to translate design briefs, 2D sketches, and styling guidelines into high-quality exterior design concepts
• Strong understanding of design, proportions, surfaces, form language, and aesthetics
• Excellent eye for detail and surface quality, with a strong ability to realize design intentions
• Experience developing design variants and independently refining design ideas
• Independent, structured, and reliable working style
• Strong team orientation and enthusiasm for collaborating in interdisciplinary project teams
• Very good written and spoken German and English
• Willingness to collaborate on a project basis as a freelancer
