Senior Engineer, Costing
Sobre a vaga
• Responsible for development costing operations
• Partner with sourcing development and brand stakeholders to drive best-in-class costing processes and seasonal development costing
• Support modernization and standardization of costing approaches using consistent, data-driven, automated, and efficient processes
• Work with product sourcing teams and vendors in countries of manufacturing
• Apply product and manufacturing expertise to design to cost and achieve product cost savings
• Leverage harmonized and scalable fact-based costing methodologies
• Champion connectivity and seamless information sharing across vendors and cross-functional stakeholders
• Manage seasonal development costing milestones and activities
• Lead vendor-partner negotiations using fact-based costing methodologies and product engineering to improve profitability
• Provide FOB and landed costing perspectives to support sourcing strategies and vendor allocations
• Ensure adherence to costing processes by costing operations teams and vendors
• Track and report key metrics for performance, efficiency, and transparency
• Demonstrate leadership across the product supply organization
• Improve costing productivity and efficiency by eliminating redundancies, automating repetitive tasks, and optimizing processes
• Lead and participate in cross-functional initiatives and conduct analyses, producing deliverables in a fast-paced environment
• Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial garment manufacturing, buying office, or trading company
• Ability to understand technical specifications, Bills of Materials, and garment constructions
• Knowledge of fabric weaving, constructions, and different dyeing processes is a plus
• Knowledge of embellishments, including print techniques, embroidery, and quilting, is a plus
• Experience in sweater knits and accessories is an advantage
• Ability to influence and drive consensus
• Experience adopting change, business process redesign, or process reengineering
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and reasoning skills
• Eagerness to learn and adopt new methods, tools, and technologies
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Good communication skills: diplomatic, open, good listener, direct, succinct
• Oral and written fluency in English
• Demonstrated knowledge and interest in development costing processes/concepts, sourcing, and allocation strategies
• Proven success adopting change and transformation
• Experience in business process improvements desired
• Demonstrated leadership skills in a global matrix environment, including strategic and innovative thinking
• Digital and analytical mindset with a passion for efficiency and process innovation
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple ongoing priorities
