Associate Security Engineer

• Support the design and implementation of multi-cloud security controls, including VPC segmentation, security groups/NACLs, and least-privilege IAM policies
• Contribute to policy-as-code and IaC security guardrails in CI/CD pipelines
• Write and tune security rules, reduce false positives, and maintain reliable pre-merge and pre-deploy checks
• Assist in hardening containerized workloads and Kubernetes clusters
• Triage vulnerability findings from application packages, container images, and third-party dependencies
• Gather exploitability and business-impact context and escalate complex findings
• Help the Risk & Compliance team gather technical evidence for SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and FedRAMP audits
• Write and maintain scripts and small security automations
• Participate in pairing, design reviews, mentorship, and remediation-plan feedback
• Document learnings and improve runbooks
• Support secure design, deployment, and operational monitoring of enterprise AI systems, models, and agentic workflows
• Help develop internal AI-driven security tools, automation scripts, and guardrails for threat detection and vulnerability remediation
• Partner with Engineering, IT, and Compliance teams

• 0–2 years of experience in security, cloud, DevOps, IT, or software engineering; internships, co-ops, research, and hands-on personal or lab projects count
• Foundational knowledge of cloud security concepts in AWS, GCP, or Azure, including IAM, networking, and common misconfigurations
• Working scripting skills in Python, Bash, or JavaScript
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning concepts, including dependency and container scanning
• Basic awareness of SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and FedRAMP compliance frameworks
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Entry-level certifications such as Security+, ISC2 CC, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or AWS/GCP/Azure security certifications are a plus
