HR & People Operations Executive

• Build and run the people function for the India team
• Partner with hiring managers to define roles and coordinate sourcing, screening, and interview scheduling
• Run background checks, prepare and send offer letters, handle candidate negotiations, and track hiring documentation
• Own the end-to-end new hire experience through the first 90 days
• Coordinate access provisioning, equipment, and completion of HIPAA, data security, and acceptable use training
• Collect and maintain employee documentation and records
• Run structured 30/60/90-day check-ins and route feedback to managers
• Build and run engagement activities including pulse checks, skip-levels, stay conversations, and exit interviews
• Own India holidays, leave, attendance, and coverage processes and policies
• Draft and roll out leave, appraisal and salary band, behavioral, and conduct policies
• Support managers with documentation, performance conversations, and corrective action
• Administer monthly payroll, resolve discrepancies and adjustments, and process offboardings and full and final settlements
• Maintain compliance with Indian labour law and statutory deadlines
• Keep employee and payroll data confidential, organized, and audit-ready
• Work closely with RCM Operations leaders and the US People lead

• 3 to 5 years in HR operations, people operations, or HR generalist roles supporting an India-based team
• Hands-on payroll and onboarding experience
• Working knowledge of Indian labour law and statutory compliance, including EPF, ESI, tax withholding, and the Shops and Establishments Act
• Experience building HR processes or policies where none existed
• Strong attention to detail with numerical and compliance data
• Clear written and verbal communication in English
• Ability to handle sensitive conversations with discretion
• Proficiency with HRIS and payroll platforms; Deel strongly preferred
• Proficiency with Excel/Sheets and documentation tools including Notion, Google Drive, and Linear
• Able to overlap with US Eastern hours for part of the day
• Experience supporting a remote or distributed team managed from the US is a nice-to-have
• Background in healthcare, RCM, or BPO/KPO operations is a nice-to-have
• Experience with Ashby, Checkr, or similar recruiting and screening tools is a nice-to-have
• Experience running engagement surveys or building an onboarding program from scratch is a nice-to-have
