Full Stack Developer, Java

• Develop back-end website applications
• Apply secure development practices, including input validation, authentication, authorisation, secrets management, dependency management, protection against common web vulnerabilities, secure logging, and sensitive-data handling
• Design responsive applications and develop REST and SOAP APIs
• Write clean, functional front-end and back-end code
• Write automated unit, integration, and appropriate end-to-end tests
• Use application monitoring, structured logging, and tracing to diagnose production and non-production issues
• Diagnose application, database, integration, and performance issues across the full stack
• Design applications for security, maintainability, observability, scalability, and performance
• Compile and analyse data, processes, configuration, dependencies, and code to troubleshoot problems and identify improvements
• Perform unit/integration testing, debugging, fixing, and validation of code changes
• Develop and maintain full-stack features spanning user interfaces, APIs, server-side business logic, and database interactions
• Collaborate with the Development team and a major client's on-site IT team

• University degree in IT combined with at least 12 years of relevant IT professional experience
• At least 7 years of professional software development experience
• At least 5 years of recent hands-on experience developing Java applications with IoC frameworks such as Spring
• At least 5 years of recent experience with relational databases and SQL
• At least 2 years of recent hands-on experience with a modern JavaScript/TypeScript framework such as Angular
• Demonstrated experience developing and integrating REST APIs
• Demonstrated experience with CI/CD, Docker and cloud/container-based deployment
• At least 2 years of recent full-stack development experience covering all specified components simultaneously
• Proven practical experience with Agile/Scrum or comparable software development methodologies
• Excellent command of the English language
