Senior Database Administrator

• Define, together with the architecture team, the information storage structure; size and plan environment capacity; and develop detailed work plans focused on performance and availability.
• Define and implement operational and security procedures for database management systems.
• Install, customize, and maintain complex database software and related tools.
• Monitor the computing environment, identify failures, and troubleshoot database-related issues.
• Evaluate and recommend new database technologies based on business needs and cost-benefit considerations.
• Develop detailed project work plans, taking into account risks, internal guidelines, resources, materials, quality, and compliance.
• Execute capacity planning for database environments.
• Manage software licenses, keeping the environment compliant, and recommend enhancements or new acquisitions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience as a database administrator for on-premises or low-platform environments running Windows and Linux, particularly SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Experience monitoring environments and managing capacity.
• Knowledge of routine automation.
• Ability to interpret environment monitoring metrics.
• Experience with CDC-based replication tools (preferred).
• Graduate studies and certifications or courses in PostgreSQL and SQL Server (preferred).
