Business Development Manager, DNA Synthesis and Protein Solutions

• Establish Twist’s market position in synthetic genes, oligo pools, DNA variant libraries, antibody production and characterization, and biopharma services
• Develop strategic goals and build key distributor and customer relationships
• Identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals
• Collaborate with internal Twist product line groups, sales, marketing, legal, and other key managers to maximize revenue
• Identify and facilitate business partnerships with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, related companies, and academics
• Establish, develop, and close commercial contracts and agreements with customers, collaborators, and partners
• Manage and maintain commercial alliances during development, early commercialization, and launch
• Prospect and generate leads for the DNA Synthesis and Protein Solutions portfolio
• Generate, drive, and secure continuous deal flow leading to high-value commercial agreements
• Screen partnership and licensing opportunities
• Present Twist capabilities, competencies, and offerings to prospective collaborators and partners
• Lead negotiations, conduct due diligence, and drive deals through contract execution
• Maintain and grow customer relationships, collaborations, and partnerships
• Coordinate subject matter experts and internal resources for opportunities
• Analyze market and financial data and present business cases
• Conduct market research and maintain a diversified revenue pipeline
• Oversee customized sales tools and marketing collateral, including proposals, RFP responses, and technical presentations
• Report to the Senior Director, DNA Synthesis and Protein Solutions, KOSEA

• Based in Singapore and covering business development activities across Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan
• Master’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field, or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Minimum 3–5 years of commercial experience in synthetic biology, protein engineering, and/or antibody discovery and screening
• Demonstrated scientific problem-solving skills
• In-depth understanding of requirements in industrial applications
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Ability to work cooperatively on demanding and difficult projects
• Ability to thrive in a start-up/change-oriented environment
• Strategic thinking backed by tactical execution
• Willingness to travel up to 50%
• Technical sales and support background desirable
• PhD degree desirable
