DevOps Engineer

• Maintain Azure infrastructure using Terraform, including reusable modules, environment configuration, remote state, and reviewed deployment plans
• Investigate configuration drift and keep existing resources under version control
• Develop and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
• Manage automated checks, artifacts, approvals, build agents, and service connections
• Support cloud data platforms such as Azure Databricks
• Manage workspace settings, compute resources, permissions, storage access, and deployment configuration
• Deploy and maintain serverless services, particularly Azure Functions
• Support Azure Event Hubs configuration, access, capacity, and monitoring
• Troubleshoot networking and access issues involving DNS, private endpoints, Entra ID, RBAC, and Key Vault
• Maintain monitoring and alerts
• Investigate incidents using logs and metrics and escalate complex issues with clear findings
• Support production releases and recovery testing
• Follow established change procedures and validate services after deployment
• Document results and keep rollback instructions current for routine changes
• Write operational scripts and runbooks
• Automate recurring tasks
• Identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary cloud resource usage through sizing, scheduling, and cleanup
• Work with software engineers, data engineers, and operations teams to keep production and non-production environments reliable, secure, and maintainable
• Handle standard changes independently with peer review and senior-engineer support for architectural decisions, complex incidents, and high-impact production changes

• Around 3 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or a similar role, including practical exposure to production environments
• Hands-on Azure knowledge covering compute, storage, networking, identity, and security fundamentals
• Knowledge of least-privilege access and secret management
• Practical Terraform experience with modules, variables, remote state, and safe plan/apply workflows for existing infrastructure
• Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Confidence using Git and pull requests
• Willingness to work with both CI/CD platforms
• Some experience administering cloud data platforms, preferably Azure Databricks
• Understanding of compute management, permissions, and data access
• Familiarity with serverless operations, preferably Azure Functions
• Understanding of Azure Event Hubs concepts such as partitions, consumer groups, and retention
• Ability to automate tasks in Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Ability to troubleshoot services using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics
• Good communication skills in English
• Careful approach to production changes and judgement to seek support when needed
• Nice to have: Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Databricks Unity Catalog or Asset Bundles, Docker, KQL, or cloud cost optimisation
• Experience using AI assistants for scripting and troubleshooting is welcome
• Eligibility to work in the EU
