Accounting Specialist

• Perform reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Analyze account balances, identify discrepancies and outstanding items, and monitor their resolution
• Prepare, review, and post accounting entries in SAP, including provisions, accruals, reclassifications, adjustments, and reversals
• Assess the classification and integrity of accounting entries by verifying general ledger accounts, cost centers, accounting periods, and supporting documentation
• Complete the closing of revenue and expense operations under their responsibility
• Participate in monthly closings and year-end closing activities
• Analyze balance fluctuations and transactions, identify inconsistencies, and provide explanations
• Prepare and keep calculation worksheets, account reconciliations, and supporting evidence up to date
• Support internal and external audits
• Contribute to improvements in accounting processes, controls, and tools

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Practical experience in corporate accounting, including account reconciliations, account analysis, journal entries, and financial closing
• Experience using SAP to review general ledgers and balances, extract reports, and post accounting entries
• Solid knowledge of accounting processes, accrual-basis accounting, monthly closing routines, and year-end closing procedures
• Knowledge of Brazilian accounting standards and applicable CPC pronouncements
• Ability to interpret trial balances, general ledgers, and supporting reports
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup formulas, and data cross-referencing
• Familiarity with accounting tools, closing controls, and supporting documentation
• Experience working for service companies
• Knowledge of SAP’s Financial Accounting (FI) module and its integrations
• Experience supporting audits
