Senior Bookkeeper – AU Clients

• Own the quality, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of bookkeeping work for a group of clients
• Manage accounts payable, transaction coding, reconciliations, accounts receivable, month-end close, BAS/IAS/TPAR, and the fixed-asset register
• Handle complex or unclear cases where AI agents cannot reach a confident answer
• Record errors, corrections, and changes so AI agents improve over time
• Identify recurring problems across clients and raise them with the Manager and product team
• Test product improvements and help establish quality standards
• Improve Xero and other app settings and client information workflows
• Serve as the main contact for clients' day-to-day bookkeeping questions
• Explain accounting matters to business owners and finance leads

• 7+ years of hands-on Australian bookkeeping experience
• Experience with multi-currency, inventory/COGS, and complex reconciliations
• Strong knowledge of BAS, IAS, TPAR, GST treatment, FBT data capture, and month-end close
• Advanced Xero skills (Xero Advisor certified or equivalent)
• Strong skills in Dext
• Experience with Shopify, Deputy, payment gateways, and PSP/EFT integrations
• Willingness to learn and work with AI agents as teammates
• Ability to check AI agent work and provide clear feedback
• Clear written communication, especially in online, platform-based conversations
• Ability to explain accounting to business owners who are not finance experts
• Confidence making decisions on unclear accounting matters and explaining reasoning
• Personal responsibility for every client file
• Good judgment on when to escalate or ask for a second opinion
• Strong commitment to quality
