Senior Backend Developer

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend applications using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework
• Design and manage PostgreSQL databases, including efficient data structures, indexing, and query optimization
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for application functionality and system integrations
• Analyze and improve database performance, scalability, and overall system efficiency
• Implement and maintain logging and monitoring solutions using the ELK Stack
• Containerize applications and maintain consistent development environments with Docker
• Support application deployment and infrastructure-related tasks using AWS services
• Apply encryption, authentication, and security best practices
• Implement and optimize caching and data management solutions using Redis
• Troubleshoot backend issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement technical solutions
• Collaborate with technical teams to maintain code quality, reliability, and application performance

• Strong professional experience in backend development, preferably at a senior level
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL
• Strong hands-on experience with Django and Django REST Framework (DRF)
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, including database design, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning
• Experience using the ELK Stack for application logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Practical experience with Docker and containerized applications
• Working knowledge of AWS services and cloud environments
• Understanding of encryption techniques, authentication methods, and backend security practices
• Experience with Redis for caching or data management
• Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to solve complex technical problems
• Ability to work independently, manage technical priorities, and contribute to scalable backend solutions
• Monday to Friday availability, 6:00am to 2:00pm EST
• Experience with Celery for asynchronous task processing and background jobs (nice to have)
• Familiarity with WebSockets for real-time communication and application functionality (nice to have)
