Server Tech Services Engineer

• Diagnose hardware and network issues remotely on Akamai servers across APJ
• Facilitate server repairs with ISPs and Field Engineers
• Coordinate the return of Akamai equipment to warehouses and vendors
• Work with Hardware Engineering to identify and resolve hardware issues after deployment
• Monitor hardware failure patterns and proactively report them to Hardware Engineering and vendors
• Manage Akamai's hardware assets

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in technology or related field or relevant Professional Experience
• 1+ years of hands-on network and server hardware experience in fault diagnosis
• Basic knowledge of server hardware technologies such as hard drives, RAMs, motherboards, and RAID
• Basic knowledge of Layer 1 and 2 troubleshooting, the OSI Model, and Unix/Linux command-line interface (CLI)
• Exposure to data center technologies and infrastructure
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, third-party service providers, and vendors
• Exceptional analytical skills and ability to systematically gather relevant information to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Ability to occasionally work non-office hours
