Senior Cloud-Native Software Engineer – Full Stack, Kubernetes

• Independently design, develop, test, and maintain software components and integrations
• Develop backend services and, as needed, frontend functionality
• Take responsibility for the deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of containerized applications on Kubernetes
• Work with Helm charts, Kubernetes manifests, configuration management, and CI/CD pipelines
• Analyze and resolve complex technical issues across applications, networks, containers, and infrastructure
• Integrate HIP components into customer environments and support their implementation
• Work closely with Product Engineering, IT Operations, and other Forward Deployed Engineers
• Optimize deployment automation, application reliability, monitoring, and maintainability
• Contribute to technical decisions and promote best practices in software development

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience
• Extensive hands-on engineering responsibility
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language, such as Java or TypeScript
• Experience developing and maintaining REST APIs and distributed applications
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including the deployment, configuration, operation, and troubleshooting of production systems
• Practical experience with Docker, Helm, Linux, and CI/CD tools
• Ability to systematically analyze and resolve issues at both the application and infrastructure levels
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and microservices
• Excellent problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently and take ownership
• Fluent in English and German
• Nice to have: Experience with frontend technologies such as React or Angular
• Nice to have: Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms
• Nice to have: Knowledge of Terraform, GitOps, Argo CD, or comparable tools for deployment automation
• Nice to have: Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry
• Nice to have: Familiarity with HL7 FHIR or openEHR
• Nice to have: Experience with PostgreSQL, message brokers, or event-driven architectures
