Senior PostgreSQL Database Administrator

• Plan, develop, deploy, and continuously perform technical support activities for ICT users and infrastructure support services
• Provide user guidance and clarify questions
• Receive, record, analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer requests
• Resolve problems and implement services
• Perform migrations and technology transfers
• Execute periodic procedures and control/update ICT infrastructure support documentation
• Administer corporate PostgreSQL environments
• Perform performance tuning and optimization, including vacuum/autovacuum and EXPLAIN/ANALYZE plan analysis
• Install, configure, and monitor PgBouncer, and diagnose connection saturation issues
• Create, read, and review PL/pgSQL scripts
• Support and optimize RHEL, Debian, and Ubuntu Linux environments, with a focus on storage and file systems
• Implement and monitor high availability, physical/logical replication, and Disaster Recovery strategies
• Administer backup and restore policies
• Apply patches, upgrade versions, and resolve incidents/problems in Development, Staging, Testing, and Production environments
• Maintain corporate naming standards, mnemonics, data object libraries, and integration maps
• Validate logical and physical data models
• Control access, auditing, logs, and encryption in compliance with Brazil's LGPD data protection law
• Provide support to IT Planning, Change Management, Software Quality, and Testing teams
• Prepare best-practice articles, identify and specify new infrastructure solutions, and interact with vendors/manufacturers through support tickets

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT) or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in the stated specialty, working in critical corporate environments with high availability
• Official ITIL 4 Foundation certification or higher
• Course or certification in ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011-based IT service management fundamentals
• One of the following cloud certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate – DP-300; AWS Certified Database – Specialty; or Google Professional Data Engineer
• EDB Postgres Advanced Server v13 certification or higher
• Linux LPIC-1 certification or higher
• At least 8 hours of Elasticsearch training
• At least 8 hours of Power BI training
• 40-hour PostgreSQL High Availability course
• Advanced proficiency in PostgreSQL, including vacuum/autovacuum, performance optimization, and execution plan analysis (EXPLAIN, ANALYZE)
• Experience with PgBouncer, pooling modes, connection monitoring, and saturation diagnosis
• Ability to create, read, and review complex PL/pgSQL scripts
• Experience with Linux (RHEL, Debian, and Ubuntu), storage, and file systems
• Experience with physical and logical replication, high availability, and Disaster Recovery
• Knowledge of backup/restore, patching, version upgrades, and incident resolution
• Knowledge of governance, data modeling, access control, auditing, logging, encryption, and LGPD compliance
