UX/UI Designer I

• Own end-to-end design of features and products, from discovery and user flows through high-fidelity UI and final implementation.
• Translate ambiguous business requirements into clear design solutions and present and defend decisions to stakeholders.
• Develop mockups and prototypes for user flows, interactions, and proofs of concept.
• Partner with Product Managers and engineers throughout development and deliver developer-ready specifications.
• Identify, prioritize, and drive improvements to UX/UI problems in existing products.
• Lead creation, maintenance, and evolution of scalable design-system components.
• Research and develop tailored design systems for eCommerce websites, B2B applications, and other products.
• Design illustrations, icons, and AI-generated images aligned with product style and design systems.
• Use AI tools for research synthesis, ideation, UI exploration, copywriting, and asset generation.
• Rapidly prototype with Figma AI, v0, Lovable, Cursor, and similar tools.
• Identify automation opportunities and build AI-powered workflows for design tasks.
• Design intuitive, trustworthy experiences for AI-powered features, handling uncertainty, errors, and user control.
• Review AI-generated output for quality, brand, and accessibility standards.
• Stay current on design and AI trends and propose innovative ideas.
• Provide constructive feedback, share best practices and AI tools, and mentor designers when needed.

• 3+ years of professional experience in product design and UX/UI, including at least 1 years designing web applications for SaaS/PaaS or B2B products.
• Proven track record of shipping products end-to-end; portfolio includes 2-3 in-depth case studies showing the problem, process, trade-offs, and results.
• Experience building a design system from scratch or scaling an existing one, including component architecture, documentation, and engineering handoff.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools in a professional design workflow.
• Strong judgment about AI usage and awareness of limitations including accuracy, bias, intellectual property, and data privacy.
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including Components, Variants, Auto Layout, Responsive Design, and prototyping.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Deep understanding of user-centered, inclusive design principles and best practices.
• Working knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and experience applying them in real products.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects, and deliver on schedule.
• Strong stakeholder management.
• Meticulous attention to detail and high quality standards.
• Curious, experimental mindset and willingness to try new AI tools.
• Strong written and spoken English for collaboration with global cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Nice to have: eCommerce platform or merchant-facing app experience.
• Nice to have: UX design experience for AI/ML-powered features.
• Nice to have: prompt engineering or custom AI workflows, agents, or plugins.
• Nice to have: basic HTML/CSS and front-end constraints.
