Analytics Engineer

• Design and own domain models and data marts across areas such as Risk, Growth, and Engineering—from ingestion through the metrics consumed by the business
• Partner with business teams to define what should be measured and how
• Resolve discrepancies and establish shared metric definitions
• Define tests, data contracts, quality monitoring, and freshness monitoring
• Create mechanisms to identify issues before they affect decision-making
• Evolve the semantic layer to enable reliable consumption by AI agents
• Prepare the analytical foundation for dynamic pricing and credit limits
• Support the evaluation of experiments in production
• Define practices and ways of working to establish Analytics Engineering at Zippi

• Own modeling and metrics for at least one business domain
• Experience making data modeling decisions
• Ability to uncover requirements, ask questions, navigate ambiguity, and lead discussions toward a shared definition
• Strong data modeling skills: grain, sources, entity relationships, transformations, and incremental processing
• End-to-end data perspective, from source/ingestion to models and consumers
• Knowledge of testing, freshness, observability, and failure modes
• Advanced SQL
• Proficiency in a programming or scripting language, such as Python
• Strong written communication and rigor in documenting decisions
• Critical use of AI, with careful review of generated content
• Nice to have: experience in credit, finance, fintech, or mid-sized marketplaces
• Nice to have: experience with modeling-layer projects serving as a single source of truth, uninterrupted data warehouse migrations, or demonstrable reductions in warehouse costs
